There is something that transcends language in the peace of the mountain. But that Peace can almost be haunting—be careful to carry your rifle.
As the Hunter traverses the depths of Appalachia on the far reaches of the colonies —he is caught off guard by a Native Warrior. In the wilderness one must never be caught half cocked or ill prepared for what unknowns may await your journey.
His hard work, and determination has brought him to this moment. His heart beats rhythmically as he takes a deep breath, tunnel vision blurring his view. He holds fast the front sight on the majestic buck… Will his aim be true, or will he go out with a flash in the pan…
Hot and tired—he removes his outer garment and pack. His unfaltering spirit and drive has brought him this reward. He is thankful for this offering, and the lessons he has learned.
The sun is setting fast on our Hunter. He is working diligently to get his trophy to camp. But he is not the only Predator that lurks in the forests. As dusk approaches be sure to make camp—or you may be in a fight for your life.
Back at camp it’s time to hang your prize. Warm up by the hearth and dry your boots over a cup of coffee. These moments are the great comfort of each Hunt.
